Christchurch, New Hythe and a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

After a great weekend in Dorset I got home monday evening suitably exhausted and slightly sunburnt after three long days by the River Avon and three long evenings in the Fisherman's Haunt Inn. Well somebody's got to do it!
Today Carol and I had a nice walk around New Hythe lakes in the sunshine and then in the afternoon I was up a tree in the back garden doing my lumberjack impression when I managed to poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick, not recommended! The reason i'm telling you that is to explain the lack of text in this post it's a bit of a struggle using one eye, so apologies and I hope you like some of the pics. Up to the Banded Demoiselle are from Dorset and the rest are from New Hythe.

Phil ,
Bit of a poor excuse as I see it , as most of us struggle to post using just one finger !
You failed to mention your young , nubile neighbour who enjoys sunbathing , which of course would explain why you were up the tree in the first place !
Great set of shots . Hope the eye recovers soon .

Greenie, you know me too well! The tragedy is that I knew I needed to look at the sunbathing neighbour but I couldn't remember why!!

Like the pics Phil - especially the Tern and the Coots among the (is it Water Crowfoot?)
Look after that eye.

WOW! What beautiful photos, Phil (if you can see them that is :) )

To be serious, I do hope you haven't done any real damage to your eye!

I love all the photos but particularly the second one of the Common Tern and the lovely Sedge Warbler.
